Mission
Our mission is to
become a catalyst for an entirely different way to manage employee safety
and plant equipment. By creating a learning relationship with your employees,
you show that you trust their common sense and take pride in their ability
to make decisions. Many VPPPA sites now realize this.
Too many factories have warning postings that are cluttered. Simple 3-word
warning signs assume a passive, captive audience. Instead of ordering the
worker to KEEP OUT, persuade him by showing the consequences that result
from ignoring the hazard or give him a telephone number to call in an emergency.
Instead of having all the information about a valve buried in an engineer's
P&ID file, put this information out into the field, where it can do
some good. Before, it was the manager who "knew best" and he,
alone, was responsible for vital process information and operating decisions.
Flatter hierarchies now mean that this responsibility must be given to all
employees.
Our goal, then, is to give you more choices and to allow you to benefit
from information-rich signs and labels. The Price of information has come
down; today, the cost for a custom sign is 50% of it's cost just 10 years
ago. In fact, in many categories, the cost of making or buying a custom
sign is equal to purchasing a stock sign or tag from a mail order Safety
catalog. There is no need, then, to buy another boring pipe marker or one-size-fits-all
sign. Design a custom sign and add plant-specific information. Then, either
make it yourself using our downloadable files or send the order directly
to our factory.
