1970 Harold Rickles starts business
1983 Purchase of Electromark from Rickles by Brewster and Eggenbergers. Starts with 6 employees.
1985 Electromark’s first addition: 4,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
1986 Revamp line: from marking for construction of nuclear plants to permanent plant labeling. Introduce LabelBase® software and related BBS for online proofing
1988 Invention of J-Sign, which becomes standard at US nuclear and weapons plants.
1990 Randy Wilson joins company as West Coast Sales Manager. Gain foothold in most large western utilities
  Completion of 13,000 square feet of expansion. Development of SmartRTK®.
1992 Development of PhotoFrit®, enabling Electromark to make high contrast bar-codes that have higher heat resistance than any other bar-code available in the US.
  Gary Sellers joins team as East Coast Sales Manager and Ed Beck as Plant Manager.
1993 General utility safety and pole markers pass 50% of Electromark's sales.
1994  Release of White Paper on sign design and research. Springboard for change in ANSI standards.
1995 Complete assembly of national network of independent sales representatives for electrical utilities.
  7,500 square foot addition to block building. Automatic inventory system.
1996 Charlotte Galek appointed Northeast Sales Manager.
  Begin manufacture of embossed metal pole marking digits. Develop automated ways to print, emboss and package the highest quality digits on the market.
  Development of Clearview type font.
1997 Addition of 4,300 square feet for metal fabrication of signs and pole marking digits.
  Introduction of SmartSign® software. Branded for Kroy, LabelMaster, Lab Safety and J.J. Keller.
  Release of www.electromark.com web site.
1999 Electromark Building #7 of 30,000 square feet, see below. Mike Pilot joints the company as CFO.
2000 Creation of XpressMyself.com.
2001 Brewster becomes 100% shareholder.
  Marsha Graffin joins company as Marketing Director. Release Telecom marking catalog.
  Electromark becomes contract manufacturer of bins for No Butts Bin in the US.
  Launch of Lab Safety and JJ Keller sites. On-line tracking of orders.
2002 Launch of www.EZBadges.com and KidsID programs.
  Release of Electromark T&D Handbook, 4th Edition.
2003 Granted patent for “Strong Hold”, the company’s seventh patent. Release of new ButtHutTM Smoking Shelter designs.
2004 Completion of Building #8 (28,000 square foot). Dedication of the Rickles Building by Senator Hillary Clinton. Property granted “Empire Zone” status.
  Security Product Line introduced.
