How
Do I Adjust the Margins?
 |
Go to the Print
Screen and click on Nudge Printout button. At this point, you can tweek your labels by
adjusting the top and/or left margins. You may also adjust the Label Creep. |
Each printer may have slightly different margins built into
its configuration. As a result, you may need to adjust how your print appears on the page,
especially if your design uses very small labels. Make your first test print on a blank
piece of paper. If a clear grid was included in your package of labels, place this grid on
top of your test page that was printed on the white paper. From here, you can see if your
laser or ink jet print-out is aligned properly.
 |
There are three
adjustments shown on this screen.
Printout is too high or too low. You can see from your test print if the
margins need to be adjusted. Use this part of the wizard to adjust how your printer first
starts the page. For example, moving printout down by 1/8" nudges all of your laser
or ink jet print 1/8" lower on the pre-printed blank. |
Printout is too far to the left or too far to the right.
Again, your first test print will show if the margins need to be adjusted. Use this part
of the Wizard to adjust how far left or right on the page your laser or ink jet print will
first start.
Printout's text on the second row of labels is falling too
far into the center of the label. Use the Label Creep buttons to adjust how far top or
left on the page your laser or ink jet print will start.
Generally, there is no need to adjust the margin between
labels.
