| To Order:
Just follow these steps:
1. Choose your template from the samples shown
here. If local demographics show an important percentage of Spanish
Speakers, use one of the bilingual signs. For more information
on the use of bilingual signs, see When
Should I Use Billingual Signs?.
2. Write your message. Include your emergency
contact information: utility name and 24-hour telephone number.
3. Choose your header. “Warning”
is used, generally, on the outside of the Substation. See page
Header Designs
and Definitions.
4. Select your preferred symbol. The most common
ones are shown here, but a larger list is shown online.
5. Select your material. Aluminum has long
been an industry standard. Fiberglass's light weight makes it
easy to install while its embedment capability offers superb message
protection. Solar grade polycarbonate offers good UV protection
at an affordable price. Porcelain delivers the ultimate sign life.
