Mounting Tower Signs: Best Methods!
Most utilities attach tower signs to
cross arms: ideally, at all four corners. But, typical tower designs
enable only three-point attachments [1]. Affix your
tower signs above vandal reach but still easily visible from the ground.
Typically, utilities place tower signs where climbing bars start,
usually 10 to 15 feet above grade. For maximum legibility, tilt signs
downward. Drill or hydraulic punch mounting holes in tower frame;
affix sign with ½” machine bolt, washer and palnut. Order
our sign brackets to improve on traditional metal strapping. Speed
installs on rounded tower poles with our pre-curved signs [2].
For steel poles, use a permanent, aggressive adhesive [3].
