| Durability is Important |

| The cost of installing
a label is far greater than the label itself. It makes economic sense,
then, to ensure that your transformer labels are as durable as possible.
Transformers can be brutal on labels. They are exposed to the summer
sun, rain, even salt spray. At right #1, rain causes inexpensive label
material to chalk. Then in #2, the cycle of sun and salt-spray fades
the red printing. The toughest condition for labels is the constant
fluctuations in temperatures: from the heat in the afternoon that
builds up on the metal surface to the shrinking effects of cold nights.
Adhesives and labels can suffer. Electromark has been making transformer
